Heard Mr. D. Senthil, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.S.Selvaganesan, learned Standing Counsel for the State.

2. The short prayer is for disposal of an appeal filed by the petitioner on 20.03.2019 before the District Collector, Ramanathapuram District, wherein he has challenged an order passed by the second respondent, that is the Personal Assistant to Collector (Development), dated 10.01.2019. The appeal is stated to be pending till date. The receipt of the appeal papers and the processing of the same by the Registry of the Tribunal is not in question.

3. Though no counter has been filed in the matter, written instructions in Na.Ka.Q1/54280/2018 dated 10.11.2021 are placed on file to the effect that R1 has sought certain clarifications from Director, Department of Rural Development, which have also been received.

4. Thus, there is no further impediment for the disposal of the appeal and accordingly a direction is issued to R1 to hear the petitioner and dispose the appeal within a period of 12 weeks from date of uploading of a copy of this order upon the official website of this court. The mandamus as sought for is achieved and this Writ Petition is allowed.
