Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Pattimandrum Scheduled to be held on 25.12.2016 and Cini Musical Program scheduled to be held on 27.12.2016 at night in connection with Markali Festival at Arulmigu Veera Anjineyar Thirukovil at Sivasakthipuram Village, Chettikulam Post, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District by considering representation of petitioner dated 12.12.2016. For Petitioner : Mr.P.T.Ramesh Raja For Respondents : Mr.R.Velmurugan, Government Advocate.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 12.12.2016 with regard to cultural programs mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has advanced his argument on the basis of averments made in the petition.

3.Mr.R.Velmurugan, learned Government Advocate, has taken notice for the respondents.

4.It is seen from the records that a representation has been given on 12.12.2016 to the second respondent with regard to the programs mentioned in the petition.

5.Considering the aforesaid factual aspect, the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Kudankulam Police Station can be directed as follows.

6.In fine, this writ petition is allowed without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspectror of Police, Kudankulam Police Station is directed to look into the representation dated 12.12.2016 and take appropriate steps.
