PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner on the guise of enquiry by calling the petitioner frequently to the first respondent Police by the second respondent.

O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Police not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that civil disputes are pending between the petitioners on the one hand and one Chellammal and others on the other hand and accordingly, one Palanisamy has filed O.S.No.41 of 2023 before the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Ponnamaravathy, against the second petitioner in respect of a pathway. It is submitted further that in respect of same dispute, a complaint is allegedly given by the said Palanisamy, thereby, the respondent / Police are harassing the petitioner, therefore, they sought for appropriate directions.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submits that one Chellammal has filed a complaint before the police against the petitioners alleging that the petitioners had abused the said Chellammal in filthy language by talking her caste name and in that context, the respondent police are making an enquiry and the said complaint is 2/4

numbered as C.S.R.No.182 of 2023. It is submitted that within two weeks, they will complete the enquiry in the said petition. The same is recorded.

4. Considering the same, the respondent Police are directed to complete the enquiry in respect of C.S.R.No.182 of 2023 within a period of two (2) weeks from today, accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
