ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to cancel the petitioner's own house Electricity Connection No.428001940, in New Natham House Survey No.240/8 (old survey no. 109/2), in Rajakambeeram Revenue Village, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2025.

2. The petitioner purchased the property in the year 2023 from one K.Mahapoojeimalaani vide sale deed, dated 27.12.2023, registered as Document No.5128 of 2023 before the Sub Registrar, Manamadurai. It appears that there is a partition suit is pending in respect of the same property in O.S. No. 49 of 2024 before the Sub Court, Manamadurai.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that after purchasing the property, she shifted to Chennai and therefore, does not require any power connection in 2/5

the said house. It is not clear whether the property purchased by the petitioner pursuant to the aforesaid sale deed is in possession of any of the parties to the aforesaid suit in O.S.No.49 of 2024, in which the petitioner has been arrayed as the sixth defendant along with others.

Considering the same, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to conduct an inspection and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 17.06.2025 and to take appropriate steps if electricity connection is to be disconnected. It is needless to state that before disconnecting power connection, notice shall be issued to the person, who is in occupation of the property.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
