To suspend the sentence for the conviction imposed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Thiruchirappalli, in S.C.No.54 of 2025 by its judgement dated 26.09.2025 and enlarge the petitioners/appellants on bail, pending disposal of the above said Criminal Appeal.

COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble N.Anand Venkatesh J.) These petitions have been filed by the accused 2 and 3 seeking suspension of the sentence imposed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruchirappalli, in S.C.No.54 of 2025, dated 26.09.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate seeks time to file a counter in these petitions.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that A1, who is the father of A2 and the husband of A3, died inside the prison and hence submitted that the petitioners may be considered for the grant of interim bail in order to secure the body after the postmortem and to conduct the final rites.

4. The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that A1 died inside the prison and therefore, the body will be handed over only after conducting the post-mortem, to ascertain the cause of death. The learned counsel confirmed the fact that A2 is the son and A3 is the wife of A1.

5. Taking into consideration the grievance expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioners and the reason for which, interim bail has been sought and without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to grant interim bail to the petitioners on the following terms:

i. The petitioners shall be enlarged on bail immediately after the post-mortem of A1 is completed and the body is handed over for conducting the final rites, till 25.06.2026. ii. The petitioners shall execute a bond for Rs.10,000/- each (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each, for a like sum, to the satisfaction of the learned Principal

District and Sessions Judge, Tiruchirappalli. iii. The sureties shall affix their photographs and left thumb impressions in the surety bond and the Trial Court may obtain a copy of their Aadhaar Card or bank passbook to ensure their identity.

iv. The petitioners shall report before the respondent Police daily at 6.00 p.m. during the entire period of interim bail granted by this Court.
