CRIME NO.110/2019 ... RESPONDENT/COMPLAINANT Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to extend the time limit fixed by this Hon'ble Court in CRL OP(MD)No.3385 of 2020 dated 25.2.2020.
Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.MA.KARUNANITHI, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.R.EROTTUCHAMY, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- This petition is filed to extend the time limit of the petitioner's surrender and execute sureties in Crl.O.P(MD)No.3385 of 2020, dated 25.02.2020.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court by an order dated 25.02.2020 granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner. He would further submit that the petitioner suffered with high fever from the month of March and as per the medical advice she was in self quarantine and after that there is nobody is willing to stand as surety due to covid-19 pandemic, therefore the petitioner is unable to surrender on time. Hence he seeks time to surrender.
3.This Court by an order dated 25.02.2020 granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner, though the petitioner suffered from Covid-19 for the past 10 months she did not take any steps to execute sureties and also did not take any steps for filing extension petition, hence this Court is not inclined to grant time to surrender and execute sureties.
