PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to erect and draw the High Tension Electricity line and Transformer in and above the petitioner's land situated in S.No.60/2B, Seegan Kadu, Rudhra Sinthamani, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District, by considering his written representation dated 05.07.2023 within a stipulated time as prescribed by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents not to erect any high tension electricity line and transformer in his patta land.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the respondent Electricity Board is attempting to lay a new high tension electricity line and a transformer in his patta land.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, who takes notice for the respondents, has produced the written instruction which has been received from the second respondent and submitted that the respondent Board is not having any proposal to lay a new high tension electricity line in the petitioner's patta land. However, he claims that the existing LT line is upgraded as wire line.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents Board, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
