ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to consider petitioner's (G.R.ThamodharanRegister No. 010047333) candidature in the selection process for the post included in Combined Engineering Services 2019, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.07.2024. 2/6

Heard Mr.P.Ganapathi Subramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.S.Shanmugavel, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.J.Anand Kumar, learned standing counsel appearing for the third respondent.

3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The petitioner, who has applied for the post included in Combined Engineering Services 2019, in response to the notification issued by the third respondent, has successfully completed his written examination. He has also appeared for certificate verification. But, thereafter he has not received any intimation about the same. The petitioner has also made a representation dated 04.07.2024 in this regard. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner came before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

5. The learned standing counsel appearing for the third respondent submitted that despite the petitioner has been called for certificate verification, he did not reach the zone of selection. Hence, the petitioner has not been given with appointment order.

6. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not even known the outcome of the certificate verification sofar.

Having called the candidates for certificate verification, the respondents ought to have released the selection list in order to make the candidates, who have participated in the certificate verification to know whether they have reached the zone of selection or not. Since the selection list has not yet been released, the petitioner has come before this Court by way of filing this writ petition.

8. In view of the above, I feel it appropriate to direct the respondents to release the selection list for the examination conducted for 4/6

the posts included in Combined Engineering Services 2019, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the respondents shall also consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 04.07.2024, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks thereafter.
