ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to renew petitioner's passport bearing No.N3757220 by processing the online renewal passport application dated 03.04.2025 in File No. MD3077532326725.

2. The admitted position is that the petitioner has been arrayed as Accused No.2 in an FIR registered against the petitioner in Crime No.16 of 2022, dated 29.01.2022 for offences under Section 286, 337, 338, 304 (ii) of IPC, 1860 and 9(B)1(a) of the Indian Explosives Act, 1884

3. The learned Government Advocate for the second respondent submits that a charge sheet has been filed and the case is pending before the Sub Court, Virudhunagar in S.C.No.206 of 2022.

4. That being the case, the request of the petitioner to issue passport cannot be considered at this stage. However, it is open to the petitioner to file appropriate application before the concerned Court to facilitate the respondents to issue passport.

5. With the above liberty, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
