PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the second respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members and property on the basis of his representation dated 27.07.2019.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, he is running a petty shop in front of BHEL HRDC Hostel, Kamarajapuram, Trichy with the permission of BHEL authorities. Now some third persons have trespassed into the petitioner's property and demanded money and also threatened the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has filed a complaint before the second respondent police. But, so far no action has been taken on the same, hence, the present petition has been filed.

4. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that on the complaint given by the petitioner, enquiry is pending.

5. Considering the fact that the enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner is pending, the respondent police is directed to proceed with the enquiry and complete the same as expeditiously as possible.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
