O RDER This writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the impugned order in Na.Ka.No. C2/20611/2022 on the file of the first respondent dated 07.07.2022 and consequently direct the first respondent to remove the name of the petitioner from History Sheet HS.No.37 of 2021 on the file of the first respondent.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents circulated a requisition letter dated 31.12.2023 wherein the Sub Inspector of Police, attached to the second respondent police station requested the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Thoothukudi District to extend the history sheet period of the petitioner till 31.12.2024.

3.In view of the above, the petitioner is at liberty to file fresh representation before the respondents for removal of his name from the 2/4

history sheet, after expiry of the history sheet period ie., 31.12.2024. If any representation filed by the petitioner after expiry of history sheet period, the same shall be considered by the respondents. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
