ORDER

This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission with the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. The petitioner is plying a Town Bus between Nachiarkoil to Sempattu, via Theppakulam post office.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that frequently passengers are requesting the bus to stop at Chatram bus stand. However, in the absence of proper permit and non-stopping the bus on the Chatram bus stand, the petitioner is unable to stop the bus at Chatram bus stand, despite the demands from the passengers.

4. Under these circumstances, the petitioner has given an application on 07.04.2025 with the request to the respondents to exercise their power under Rule 245(i) of the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 and Section 72(2) XXII of 2/4

the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation, dated 07.04.2025 will be considered and disposed of on merits.

6. Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to pass appropriate order on the aforesaid representation of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. Needless to state, before passing such order, other operators, who are likely to be impacted by the such decision, shall also be heard.
