Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent for taking necessary steps in connection with proceeding in Na.Ka.4190/2024/C dated 23.07.2024 with stipulated time as prescribed by this Court. ORDER

The Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents Nos.1 to3 and the learned counsel for the respondent No.4 and after dispensing the notice to the private respondent/5th respondent as there is no adverse order proposed to be passed at this stage against the fifth respondent.

2. The petitioner is a senior citizen, who had moved a petition before the second respondent under the provision of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007.

3. The learned counsel for the respondent Nos.1 to 3 would submit that the proceeding on the application filed by the petitioner has already commenced before the second respondent and the case is listed for hearing on 04.07.2025.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner is aged about 70 years and she seeks relief under the provision of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007. Hence, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the application filed by the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
