PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent to file the final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Madurai in connection with Crime No.904 of 2014 dated 22.07.2014 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.904 of 2014.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner is an accused in Crime No.904 of 2014 dated 22.07.2014 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148 IPC and Section 25(1-A) of the Indian Arms Act by the respondent police. But so far, the respondent police has not taken any action on the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the investigation in the case in Crime No.904 of 2014 has been completed and final report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Madurai on 04.03.2019 and the same is yet to be taken on file. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

4. Since the investigation in this case has been completed and final report has also been filed before the concerned Magistrate and the same is taken cognizance by the learned Magistrate, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
