This is a writ of Mandamus seeking direction to the respondents to provide suitable employment to the petitioner on compassionate grounds based on her qualification in the respondents corporation.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents.
3.The case of the petitioner is that she lost her parents in a fire accident during the year 2003. Her mother was working as Attender at Kamuthi Branch under the respondents corporation and her father was working a Grade II Police Constable. The petitioner and her brother are under the custody of her Grandmother, who is aged about 70 years. So stating a representation dated 07.07.2004 was given by her grandmother, to the respondents, to register the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
names of the grandchildren for compassionate appointment, as they were minor at that point of time. Thereafter, another representation, dated 14.06.2011 was also given by her grandmother.
4.After attaining majority, the petitioner made representations dated 07.08.2014 and 05.09.2015 seeking appointment on compassionate ground. Since there was no reply, she has filed this writ petition.
5.The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that it is agreeable for the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 07.08.2014 and 05.09.2015 and to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
