Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating with the demand notice in Na.Ka.No. 2652/2018/A2, dt. 22.07.2021 issued by the respondent and quash the same as it is arbitrary and illegal and in consequence to direct him to revise and re-fix the demand for the period of 2021-2022, by exempting petitioner to pay the rent for the period of six months by extending the benefit of the order of this Court made in W.P.(MD).No.19596 of 2020, dated 01.02.2021 and to return a sum of Rs.90,000/- to the petitioner. O R D E R

The subject matter of challenge in this writ petition pertains to demand notice that was issued by the respondent in Na.Ka.No. 2652/2018/A2, dated 22.07.2021 and for a consequential direction to the respondent to revise and refix the demand for the period from 2021 to 2022.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent. 3.The issue involved in the present writ petition is now covered by two G.Os. namely G.O(D) No. 298, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MA.IV) Department, dated 02.09.2020, which gives exemption for two months and G.O(D) No. 337, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MA.IV) Department, dated 16.06.2023, which gives exemption for five months. It will suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the claim made by the petitioner in line with these G.Os. and the decision taken shall be 2/4

conveyed to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4.This writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
