Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to settle the petitioner's terminal benefits including gratuity, earned leave salary, commuted value of pension, provident fund amount and pay revision arrears and all other attendant monetary benefits together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum payable from the date of his retirement i.e., from 31.03.2019 to till the date on which the said benefits are settled to the petitioner.

The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to settle the entire terminal benefits including provident fund etc., payable to the petitioner within a stipulated period.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that pending writ petition, the respondents have settled the entire terminal benefits due to the petitioner, but not settled interest for the belated payment.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that if the petitioner submits a fresh representation to that effect, the respondents will consider the same in accordance with law.

4. Recording the above submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous with liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondents for interest for the belated payment. No costs.
