Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned notice of the 2nd respondent in Na.Ka.A1/3452/2019 dated 03.08.2022 and quash the same as illegal.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4. 2.The petitioner challenges the peace committee meeting minutes drawn on 12.04.2022. It has been held time and again that such decisions are not amenable to legal challenge. They are bereft of any statutory value or force. In any event, the Tahsildar, Kariyapatti Taluk cannot decide who will be the poojari of the petition mentioned temple. These are matters that will have to be decided elsewhere. A decision taken in peace committee meeting can never be enforced by the statutory authorities.

3.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
