ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's husband, who is the missing person, was arrested in Crime No.226/2024 registered on the file of Kottampatti Police Station, Madurai District for the offences under Sections 331(4) and 305(a) of BNS and he has been remanded to judicial custody on 25.07.2024 and that he is not in illegal custody.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's husband was taken into custody by the second respondent on 19.07.2024 and he has been kept in illegal detention till 25.07.2024.

3. In view of the above submission, liberty is granted to the petitioner to initiate appropriate proceedings in accordance with law, if so desired. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. (A.D.J.C.,J.) (K.R.S.,J.) 26.07.2024 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Lm
