O RDER This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.147 of 2020 dated 05.02.2020.

2.It is surprising to know that in a case registered in the month of February, 2020 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 379 and 506(i) IPC, the police have kept the investigation pending for the last more than 3 years without any progress. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that the police have examined 5 witnesses and the rest of the investigation would be completed sooner.

3.Considering the circumstances, this Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No.2 police to complete the investigation within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
