ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to file a charge sheet in Crime No.2 of 2022 within a stipulated time.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that they have examined six witnesses and some more witnesses have to be examined. He further submits that anticipatory bail was granted to the accused persons by the Hon'ble Supreme Court on 05.02.2024.

3. The grant of anticipatory bail by the Hon'ble Supreme Court would not in any way prevent the respondent Police to proceed with further investigation. It appears that the case has been registered in the year 2022. In all fairness, the respondent Police 2/4

ought to have filed the final report by this time.

4. Therefore, the respondent Police is directed to conclude the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.2 of 2022 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
