ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give necessary police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and the property comprised in Survey No.170, 167/4 situated at Pithalaipatti Village, Dindigul District on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 17.09.2021.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a 83 years old man. The third respondent being the son of the petitioner, assaulted him, caused injuries and threatened him that he will take away the petition mentioned property from the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint against the third respondent. But, so far no action has been taken. Hence this petition has been filed. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that based on the petitioner's complaint, CSR.No.677 of 2021 had been assigned and for the same, enquiry is pending.

4.Recording the same, the second respondent police is directed to take action under Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules 2009, upon the complaint lodged by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
