Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd Respondents to consider the proposal sent by the 3rd Respondent dated 29-03-2019 seeking approval of the petitioner's appointment dated 21-01-2010 and pass appropriate order with the time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. It is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Government Advocate that pending the contempt petition, the respondents have rejected the petitioner's request for approval through their proceedings in Na.Ka.No.22944/F2/2020, dated 18.01.2021.

3. In view of the rejection order passed by the respondents, the disobedience alleged by the petitioner cannot be termed to be wilful. Therefore, this contempt petition stands closed. It is needless to point out that the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the rejection order dated 18.01.2021, if he is advised to do so.
