This Civil Revision Petition is filed to direct the learned Subordinate Judge, Sankarankovil to dispose of H.M.O.P.No.7 of 2020, within a stipulated time by this Court.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though the trial in H.M.O.P.No.7 of 2020 has been commenced as early as on 02.12.2021, still it is in the stage of cross examination of PW2. Hence, a suitable direction may be issued to the learned Subordinate Judge, Sankarankovil to dispose of the case at the earliest.

3. This Court considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and also perused the materials placed on record.

4.Perusal of the records shows that H.M.O.P.No.7 of 2020 was filed by the petitioner herein for divorce. Though the respondent has entered appearance and she did not file any counter affidavit. Hence, an exparte decree was passed. Thereafter, an interlocutory application in I.A.No.2 of 2021 was filed by the respondent to set aside the exparte decree and the same was allowed. Now the case is posted for cross examination of PW 2 on 21.07.2022.

5.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to dispose of this Civil Revision Petition with a direction to the learned Subordinate Judge, Sankarankovil to dispose of H.M.O.P.No.7 of 2020, within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
