ORDER
Heard the learned counself or the petitioner and Mr.K.K.Udayakumar, learned Counsel for Government appearing for the respondents.
2. The petitioner was appointed as Junior Assistant on 23.04.2007 on compassionate grounds. While he was in service, he was involved in a criminal case, which was registered in Crime No. 21 of 2008. After completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed. Subsequently, the same was taken on file as S.C.No.3 of 2019 on the file of the District Sessions Judge, Sivagangai and the said case was ended in acquittal on 30.04.2019. Meanwhile, the petitioner was dismissed from service on 15.06.2016 by the Superintendent of Police and the same was modified as punishment of stoppage of increment for a period of three years with cumulative effect through proceedings dated 16.11.2019 passed by the second respondent herein. Accordingly, the petitioner rejoined the service on 11.12.2019. The entire period of dismissal from 2/5
service and suspension period is stated to have been treated as duty peiod and salary was also paid to the petitioner. It was thereafter a proposal was sent by the second respondent to the first respondent through proceedings in RC.No.11529907/NGB II(3)/2025 dated 14.10.2025 for declaration of probation of the petitioner and the said proposal is stated to be still pending for consideration before the first respondent. Hence, the petitioner approached this Court by filing the present writ petition seeking an appropriate direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the said proposal dated 14.10.2025. The petitioner also claims to have submitted a representation dated 11.02.2026.
3. Mr.K.K.Udayakumar, learned Counsel for Government appealing for the respondents fairly submitted that the first respondent would pass appropriate orders on the proposal dated 14.10.2025 within a period of four weeks.
4. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider the proposal dated 14.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders 3/5
thereon as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 15.06.2026 CM TO
