Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to include the name in Patta as well as in Town Survey Land Register the petitioner's name and his sister namely Velammal situated at Town Survey No. 25/1 (old Survey No.330/1B) and 24/14 (old Survey No.332/21) situated at Block-VIII, Ward K.Thirumalainayakan Puthukudi, Part - III, Puliyankudi, Tenkasi District, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 28.12.2024. ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to include his name in patta as well as Town Survey Land Register in respect of the land situated in Town Survey No.25/1 (old Survey No.330/1B) and 24/14 (old Survey No.332/21) at Block-VIII, Ward K.Thirumalainayakan Puthukudi, Part - III, Puliyankudi, Tenkasi District, by considering his representation, dated 28.12.2024.

2. According to the petitioner, the subject property has been in possession and enjoyment of the petitioner's family for quite long time. However, the names of the petitioner and his father have not been included in the Town Survey Land Register. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondent on 19.12.2024 and the same was received by the respondent on 30.12.2024, as per the postal acknowledgement. The same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court.

3. Mr.M.Rajarajan, who takes notice for the respondent, would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.12.2024, received by the respondent on 30.12.2024, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to petitioner, persons in whose names TSLR exists as on today, and other interested parties.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 07.07.2025 NCC :
