ORDER

Mr.T.R.Janarthanam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.A.Jayaram, learned counsel takes notice for the second respondent.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the proceedings in C1/357/2013, dated 21.08.2014 within a stipulated period.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner, who was working as a Conductor, was dismissed from service for his unauthorized absence for more than ten days. The said dismissal order was passed by the second respondent and he had filed an approval petition before the first respondent under Section 33(2) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the Industries Disputes Act seeking for an approval of the same. The first respondent had taken the said petition on file in case No.C1/357/13 and summons are issued to the petitioner. The above said proceedings are held in Chennai and the petitioner is attending the same by appearing before the authorities by travelling from Madurai and the date of next hearing is fixed on 16.02.2016. Since the matter has been pending for more than two years, the petitioner has come forward with the Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

5. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, the first respondent is directed to complete the hearing in Case No.C1/357/13, on or before 31.03.2016.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
