Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to direct the Learned Special Judge for SC/ST (POA) Act cases - Virudhunagar at Srivilliputhur to accept the surrender of the Petitioner / sole Accused and to consider their bail application on the same day in connection with crime no. 168/2026 on the file of the 2nd respondent police and pass such other or further orders.

ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the sole accused in crime No.168 of 2026, on the file of the second respondent police seeking a direction as against the trial Court to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of surrender.

2. Considering the averments in the petition, there shall be a direction to the learned Special Judge for SC/ST (POA) Act cases - Virudhunagar at Srivilliputhur, to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of surrender in crime No.168 of 2026, after giving due opportunity to the defacto complainant.

3. The petitioner shall surrender before the concerned Court on or before 30.06.2026.

4. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
