ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking to direct the respondent to file the final report in Crime No.140 of 2018 dated 28.09.2018 and proceed with the same as per law within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the defacto compassion in Crime No.140 of 2018, which is registered for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 109, 506(i) I.P.C and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, dated 28.09.2018. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that after the lapse of three years, investigation has not been completed and final report has also not been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that final report is also made ready and it will be filed within a month.

4. Recording the above submission, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to file the Final Report within within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After completing the process, the compliance report shall be submitted to this Registry thereafter.

5. With the aforesaid direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
