ORDER

Seeking to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to ensure participation of the petitioner in the Arulmigu Aandapillai Naayanar Sugandaneshwarar Sameebavalli Ambal Sri Kasi Vairavar Temple Festival commencing from 22.06.2026 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2026 and 08.06.2026, this writ petition is filed.

2. Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondent, notice to the private respondent is dispensed with.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the Temple committee had excommunicated the petitioner and his family and had refused to receive temple tax from him and sought the indulgence of this Court, facilitating him to participate in the temple festival. 2/5

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the same, the 2nd respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner as well as the 5th respondent, and conduct an enquiry and thereafter, ensure the peaceful conduct of the temple festival by making it clear that the temple committee will not excommunicate any person from participating in the temple festival, including the petitioner's family. The 3rd respondent police is also directed to put the petitioner as well as the 5th respondent on notice under Section 64 BNSS and make sure that the 5th respondent is receiving temple tax from the petitioner and facilitate the petitioner's family in participating the temple festival.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. 15.06.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No gbg 3/5
