ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to expeditiously enquire his representation dated 29.08.2024, seeking correction in the UDR Patta pertains to Survey No.24/12 in Kanjiram Village, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District. 2.Heard the arguments of M/s.R.Bharathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that he purchased two cents of land in the subject survey number from one Veeraiya under a registered sale deed dated 23.07.1987. During UDR updation, the names of Mariappan and Thakkappa, have been erroneously entered in the revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 29.08.2024 before the first respondent seeking correction of the UDR entry. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that earlier the representation submitted by the petitioner was returned. Thereafter, the petitioner re-presented the same before the District Collector. Subsequently, the District Collector forwarded the representation to the respondent and the same is pending on file of the respondent.

5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.08.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, persons mentioned in the representation of the petitioner and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
