Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents particularly the second respondent to provide police protection as well permission for the events as annexed herewith separately by the Kodai Festival Committee of Arulmighu Thiru Mutharaman Thirukovil at Subbarayapuram, Muthaloor Via, Sathankulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District as from 25.08.2019 to 31.08.2019 (in the Tamil Month of Aavani 08 to Aavani 14) forthwith in pursuance of the petitioner's representation dated 13.08.2019.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to provide police protection as well permission for the events as annexed herewith separately by the Kodai Festival Committee of Arulmighu Thiru Mutharaman Thirukovil at Subbarayapuram, Muthaloor Via, Sathankulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District as from 25.08.2019 to 31.08.2019.

2. Heard both sides.

The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and protection to conduct some events 25.08.2019 to 31.08.2019 in the above said festival, the petitioner made a representation on 13.08.2019 to the respondents and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 13.08.2019 has already been considered and permission as such sought for by the petitioner to conduct the events as stated in the annexure has been granted to the petitioner.

5. In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, no further adjudication is required in this petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
