Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.111 of 2020 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Vallioor, Tirunelveli District. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel submitted that he would be satisfied, if a direction for speedy disposal is issued.

3. Taking note of the said submission, the learned trial Magistrate is directed to conclude the case on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. All the contentions and defences of the petitioner are left open. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.

4.However, taking note of the overall facts and circumstances, the personal appearance of the petitioner before the court below is dispensed with. The learned trial Magistrate shall insist on the personal appearance of the petitioner only when it is absolutely necessary and imperative. The petitioner shall be called upon to appear in person before the trial Court at the time of answering the charges and at the time of examination under Section 313 of Cr.P.C., and at the time of pronouncement of Judgment.
