Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to grant permission forthwith for conducting cultural programme in the Sree Mariamman Temple festival between 07.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m on 21.02.2016 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.02.2016.

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent herein to grant permission forthwith for conducting cultural programme in the Sree Mariamman Temple festival between 07.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m on 21.02.2016 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.02.2016.

2.When the matter was taken up for admission, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the authorities have rejected the representation dated 01.02.2016 submitted by the petitioner by order dated 05.02.2016. The learned Additional Government Pleader has produced the copy of the communication by which the request of the petitioner was rejected.
