ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner's husband Thiru.C.R.Shanmugam joined the forest department as forester in the year 1965. He was promoted as forest ranger on 01.08.1991. He attained the age of superannuation in the year 2002. He passed away on 25.06.2004. The petitioner is receiving pension. But then, her case is that similarly placed retired employees are getting much higher pension. The petitioner therefore wants refixation of the pension that is being received by her. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation also.

3. It appears that on account of the misplacement of the writ petitioner's husband's service book, refixation was not done in time. Now the respondents are ready to extend the very same benefit to the writ petitioner which was accorded to the similarly placed retired employees. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the pension payable to the writ petitioner shall be refixed. The arrears shall also be disbursed to the petitioner. 2/4
