PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to appoint the petitioner as a Sweeper in the place of his father Late.Kaali on compassionate ground on the basis of the petitioner representation dated 02.07.2019.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to appoint the petitioner as a Sweeper in the place of his father (late) Kaali on compassionate ground.

2.Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that with reference to the prayer sought for in this writ petition, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondent on 02.07.2019. But, no action has been taken till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court for the relief stated supra. 4.In reply, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 02.07.2019 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.18082 of 2019 5.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer made by the petitioner and considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.07.2019 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
