ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the fourth respondent to give necessary police protection to the life of the petitioner and her husband and his parents. 1/3

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner fell in love with one Subramanian, who belonged to another caste and they married on 29.09.2020 against the wish of the petitioner's parents. He would further submit that due to the same, the parents and relatives of the petitioner threatened the in-laws of the petitioner with dire consequences. Hence, the petitioner filed the present petition seeking the aforesaid relief.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the fourth respondent initiated an enquiry in C.S.R.No.488 of 2020, dated 15.12.2020. 4.In view of the above submissions, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 09.11.2020 by giving opportunity to all the parties and take suitable steps in the manner known to law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if necessary, give police protection to the petitioner and her family, in accordance with law. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
