(Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) The petitioner is lodged in the Central Prison, Vellore and he seeks ordinary leave under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982.
2. In our opinion, the application for ordinary leave in respect of prisoners who are lodged in the Central Prison, Vellore, has to be considered by the Deputy Inspector General of Prison, Vellore Range. Vellore District falls within the territorial jurisdiction of the Principal Seat of this Court at Chennai.
3. Hence, this petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner or his relatives to approach the Principal Seat of this Court at Chennai. No costs.
