This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to regularize the petitioner's service with effect from 12.01.1988 and to disburse all other attendant service benefits accrued with effect from 12.01.1988 in the light of petitioner's representation dated 25.01.2019.
2. According to the petitioner, he is now working as Over Head Tank Operator within the limits of Palayam Town Panchayat. Earlier, he was appointed as daily wager with effect from 12.01.1988 as Over Head Tank Operator by the Executive Officer, Palayam Town Panchayat, Guziliamparai. The grievance of the petitioner is that while regularizing his service, the period of service from 12.01.1988 was not taken into account. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 25.01.2019, seeking to regularize his service with effect from 12.01.1988 and to disburse all other attendant service benefits https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
WP(MD) No.18086 of 2021 accrued with effect from 12.01.1988. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Standing Counsel for State appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.
4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.01.2019 on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
