This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the impugned order passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.5521/2021/Pa.1 (Development) dated 07.08.2021 and consequently direct the first respondent to promote the petitioner as Block Development Officer in Pudukkottai District.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has placed before this Court the proceedings of the Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayat, dated 21.03.2025, under which the petitioner has been promoted as Block Development Officer in Pudukkottai District.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner also agrees on instructions that the petitioner has been promoted as Block Development Officer in Pudukkottai District, subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition. 2/4

4. Since the prayer in this Writ Petition has been achieved, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Writ Petition. 5 .After recording the fact that the petitioner has been promoted as Block Development Officer in Pudukkottai District, subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
