ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A) and 406 of IPC, in Crime No.15 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. On the earlier occasion (i.e) on 20.07.2023, after hearing both side counsels, this Court referred the matter to the mediation centre for amicable settlement.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as the learned counsel for the intervenor submitted that the matter could not been settled between the parties before the mediation centre. He further submitted that the petitioners are only the in-laws of the defacto complainant.
4. considering the limited role that has been played by the petitioners and also the fact that the petitioners are only the in-laws of the defacto complainant, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners, however, with stringent conditions.
5. Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or their appearance, before the learned Additional Mahila Court, Ramanadhapuram, and on their executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only)each, with common sureties, each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned; and (*)the petitioners to appear 2/4
before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation. The petitioners shall comply with the conditions stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously.
6.
