PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to fix the correct market value of the property of the petitioner in Document No.188/2009 registered at the 3rd respondent which is pending before the 2nd respondent U/s. 47-A(I) of Indian Stamps Act and further to direct the respondents to return the 1/4

original documents to the petitioner without any delay on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 21.08.2021.

For Petitioner : Mr.A.P.Muthupandian For Respondent : Mr.R.Ragavendran Government Advocate O RDER This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to fix the market value of the property of the petitioner in Document No.188/2009, which is pending on the ground of undervaluation before the second respondent under Section 47-A(I) of the Indian Stamps Act.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that an order has already been passed as early as on 05.02.2014 by the second respondent and the value of the subject property has been fixed. As against this order, the petitioner has not even filed any appeal before the Inspector General of Registration, whereas a representation was made by the petitioner to fix the value.

3.In light of the above submissions, the relief as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
