ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Vilathikulam, to expedite the trial and dispose the case in C.C.No.144/2015 on its file as time frame fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the accused No.2 in Crime No.13 of 2015, which was taken on file by the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Vilathikulam, in the year 2015, as C.C.No.14 of 2015. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he has arrayed as accused and case has been taken cognizance in the year 2015, no progress has been made so far.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case was posted for examination of PW1 and PW2 on 16.10.2021. 4.Since the crime is of the year 2015, there shall be a direction to the learned District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Vilathikulam, to expedite the trial process in C.C.No.144 of 2015 pending on his file and dispose of the same on merits within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After disposing of the same, compliance report must be sent to the Registry.
