O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file final report in Crime No.294 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police by adding offences under sections 447, 307 IPC and Section 4 of TNPWH Act within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that direction may be issued to the respondent police to include the Sections 447, 307 IPC and Section 4 of TNPWH Act in Crime No. 294 of 2020 and to file Final Report as expeditiously as possible.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.294 of 2020 has been registered for the offences under Sections 294(b), 324, 506 (i) IPC. Totally there are four accused in this case. He would pray three months time to file Final Report.

5. Considering the submissions made by both side, I am of the view that it is for the respondent to see whether the offences are made out under Sections 447 & 307 IPC and after completion of investigation, they will have to file Final Report. Therefore, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file the Final Report in Crime No.294 of 2020, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
