Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct the "Aadal Paadal" dance Programme on 25.08.2019 from 07.00 p.m., to 12.00 p.m., in pursuant to the 'Avani Festival' of Santhanamariamman Thirukovil, situated at Kuttampuli Village, Thoothukudi Taluk and District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2019. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct the "Aadal Paadal" dance Programme on 25.08.2019 from 07.00 p.m., to 12.00 p.m., in pursuant to the 'Avani Festival' of Santhanamariamman Thirukovil, situated at Kuttampuli Village, Thoothukudi Taluk and District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2019.
2. Heard both sides.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and police protection to conduct the Aadal Paadal Dance Programme on 25.08.2019 in connection with the 'Avani Festival' of the above said temple, the petitioner has given a representation on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4
W.P.(MD)No.18086 of 2019 16.08.2019 to the second respondent and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.08.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.
5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
