Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses for a sum of Rs.6,11,257/- (Six Lakh Eleven Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty Seven Rupees Only) to the petitioner together with further interest under Medical Reimbursement Scheme by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2022 within the time period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
Heard Mr.T.Thirumurugan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5.
2. The petitioner is a Government servant and her husband namely, Anbuselvan met with an accident and took treatment for greivous injuries and incurred a sum of Rs.6,11,257/-. When she claimed the same before respondents, the respondents have not taken any action to reimburse the medical expenses. Thereafter, the petitioner given a detailed representation dated 01.08.2022 to the respondent seeking medical reimbursement and the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner is pending before respondents and the same would be considered by the respondents within a time frame fixed by this Court. 3/6

In view of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2022 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner and it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
