ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to conduct enquiry and issue patta in his favour in respect of the land situated in S.No.18/18/2A, 18/2B, 18/2C in Suriyur Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District in the light of the direction issued by the first respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.D.5/E.2410955/2025, dated 11.04.2025.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.T.Wins, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

According to the petitioner, the subject property was purchased by petitioner's father Veeramuthu Gounder under registered sale deed, dated 07.06.1982 registered as document No.650/1982 on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Viralimalai. The father of the petitioner died on 06.02.1998. However, based on the document executed by one Velankanni, the revenue documents have been mutated in favour of third parties. Therefore,

petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents seeking cancellation of revenue documents in the name of third parties and issuance of patta for the subject property in his name. The same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court.

A perusal of communication of the first respondent, dated 11.04.2005 in Na.Ka.No.D.5/E.2410955/2025, included in the typed set of papers would indicate that the first respondent directed the second respondent to take appropriate action on the application submitted by the petitioner and report the same. In spite of the said direction, the second response has not taken any action. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the application submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the application

submitted by the petitioner, dated 22.01.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of 12 weeks from the date receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to petitioner and the persons in whose name the revenue documents stands as on today, aforesaid Velankanni mentioned in the application of the petitioner and other interested parties. 7.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
