Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first and second respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2014 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.N.Shanmugaselvam For Respondents : Mr.M.Murugan Government Advocate

ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider his representation, dated 28.02.2014, through which he seeks for effecting mutation of revenue records.

2. Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Needless to say that it is for the first respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law and therefore, this Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of only with a direction to the first respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
