O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, as against the respondent Nos.1 to 3, to take appropriate action on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2024 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the proposed accused has forged certain documents. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 10.06.2024 before the first respondent. However, the respondent police has not acted upon the complaint so far. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instruction from the respondent police submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the first respondent on 14.07.2024 and the same was forwarded to 2/5

the third respondent only on 31.07.2024. Since the third respondent police has received the current papers only on 31.07.2024, he has to conduct preliminary enquiry and after finding out the truth, he would take action.

4.This Court considered the rival submissions made. 5.Since the third respondent claims that the complaint was received by him only on 31.07.2024, he need some more time to find out the truth in the complaint. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to conduct a preliminary enquiry and find out the truth and thereafter, proceed in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
