This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to provide police protection to conduct Kabaddi Tournament, which are scheduled to be held on 15.07.2023 to 17.07.2023 at Senthalai Village, Thiruvaiyaru Taluk, Thanjavur District.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner made a representation to the respondent Police on 05.07.2023 seeking protection and the same is still pending for consideration. Since tournament is scheduled from 15.07.2023, the petitioner sought for suitable directions to the respondent Police.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that they are prepared to provide the necessary protection, provided, the organizers following the conditions issued by the police.

4. Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent Police to consider the representation dated 05.07.2023 and dispose of the same by incorporating the guidelines. It is submitted that 2/4
